The short version
We collect the details you put in the contact form, and basic anonymous numbers about which pages get visited. That's it.
We don't sell anything to anyone, we don't run advertising trackers, and you can ask us to delete everything we hold about you at any time. The rest of this page is the same thing said properly.
Who we are
Brannoch is a design and software studio based in Aberdeen, Scotland. For the purposes of UK GDPR we are the data controller for information collected through this website. You can reach us at hello@brannoch.com.
What we collect
Two things, and nothing else.
We do not collect payment details on this website. If you become a client, invoicing is handled separately and covered in your contract.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry, and to understand which parts of this site are useful. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest: you contacted us, so answering you is expected. We will not add you to a mailing list, because we do not have one.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't turn into work are deleted after [12 MONTHS]. If we work together, your details are kept for as long as we are working together plus [6 YEARS] for tax and accounting records, which we are legally required to hold. Anonymous usage numbers are kept for [24 MONTHS].
Who else sees it
A small number of suppliers, all of whom process data on our instructions only:
We do not sell or share your information with anybody else, and there are no advertising or social media trackers on this site.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- Show you what we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete it
- Send it to you in a portable format
- Object to how we're using it
Email hello@brannoch.com and we will action it within one month. There is no charge and you do not need to give a reason.
Complaints
If you think we have handled your information badly, tell us first. We would rather fix it. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
