Websites for trades

Websites for trades that show the work and win the quote.

A trade website has two jobs: show what you have built, and make asking for a price trivially easy. Everything else is decoration.

What people actually ring about

Almost nobody rings up wanting a website. They ring because something specific is costing them time or money.

“My photos are all on my phone”

Years of finished jobs sitting in a camera roll are your best sales material. A gallery you update from the same phone, between jobs, gets them in front of people.

“Enquiries go to an email I never check”

A form that reaches a real inbox with a real reply address, so hitting reply answers the customer rather than a robot. It sounds obvious. It is very often broken.

“I do four things and the site mentions one”

If you do drystone, building, landscaping and consultancy, that is four pages, because that is four different things people search for.

“Quoting eats my evenings”

Photograph the job, get a drafted quote back using your rates and your wording. You check it and send it. That is the kind of job worth automating.

Questions we get asked

I already get all my work by word of mouth. Why bother?

Then you may not need us, and we will say so. A site earns its keep when people are checking you out before they ring, which they are, even when they were referred.

Can I update the gallery myself?

Yes, from your phone. If updating a website needs a laptop and twenty minutes, it will not happen and the site goes stale.

Do I need a quote form or just a phone number?

Both. Some people ring, some people will not ring anyone. Losing the second group because there was no form is the most common own goal on a trade site.

What about Google reviews?

We pull them in live rather than screenshotting them, so the page is always current and nobody has to remember to update it.
